Neuto Energy Hosts Sarawak Skills Trainers at Batang Ai Floating Solar Farm
Batang Ai, 20 July 2024 – In a significant stride towards fostering renewable energy education and vocational training, Neuto Energy organized a learning trip for a group of four trainers and consultants from Sarawak Skills to the Batang Ai floating solar farm. This initiative, part of Neuto Energy’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program, aims to provide Sarawak students with the latest knowledge and hands-on experience in renewable energy technologies.
The visit to the Batang Ai floating solar farm was designed to equip the trainers with first-hand experience in the innovative field of floating solar technology. This exposure will enable them to incorporate practical insights and advanced renewable energy concepts into their teaching syllabuses.
Andy Low, CEO of Neuto Energy, emphasized the importance of such initiatives in aligning educational programs with industry needs. “Our goal is to support the Sarawak government in equipping the workforce with cutting-edge renewable energy skillsets. By doing so, we aim to provide better job opportunities, enhance employability, and prepare the community for the ongoing energy transition,” said Low.
Led by John Rizal Biki, Senior Manager, Research and Consultancy, Sarawak Skills, the group of 4 trainers had the opportunity to explore the various aspects of the floating solar farm, including installation techniques, maintenance practices, and the overall benefits of this renewable energy solution. The experience garnered from this trip is expected to play a crucial role in shaping the future curriculum of Sarawak Skills, ensuring that students are well-versed in modern renewable energy technologies.
John Rizal Biki expressed his enthusiasm for the initiative. “This learning trip has provided us with invaluable insights into the practical applications of floating solar technology. We are excited to bring this knowledge back to our students and help them stay ahead in the renewable energy sector,” he said.
